CALL FOR PAPERS

The Fifteen Euromicro Conference on Parallel, Distributed and Network-based Processing covers all the fields of high-performance computing, from advances in scientific and engineering applications to new proposals in programming and problem solving environments, models, languages and architectures. The conference provides a forum for presentation of all the issues related to parallel, distributed and network computing.

Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:

  • Advanced Applications: scientific and engineering applications, multi-disciplinary and multi-component applications, knowledge and data mining, real-time applications, business applications.
  • Network-based and Internet-based Computing: web computing, cluster computing, grid computing, pervasive computing, data grids, mobile agents, distributed web services, security in distributed systems.
  • Models and Tools for Programming Environments: performance prediction and analysis, knowledge-based  program development, visualization tools, component-based frameworks, scientific libraries, problem solving environments.
  • Distributed Systems: distributed databases, distributed OO systems, middleware, peer-to-peer models for scientific computing, distributed operating systems, distributed file systems, heterogeneous distributed systems, distributed shared-memory systems.
  • Languages, Compilers and Runtime Support Systems: task and data parallel languages, functional and logic languages, object-oriented languages, dependability issues, scheduling and load balancing, task and object migration.
  • Parallel Computer Systems: massively parallel machines, interconnection networks, embedded parallel and distributed systems, fault-tolerance, memory organization, support for parallel I/O.

The scope of  PDP 2007 is further expanded with additional themes emphasized by special sessions. For details refer to http://www.pdp2007.it/ss.html

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

Prospective authors should submit a full paper not exceeding 5000 words in length and including a 150-200 word abstract. To facilitate an anonymous reviewing process, the first page of the paper should contain only the title and abstract. Proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press. Best papers will be selected for special issues of Elsevier Journal of Systems Architecture and InderScience International Journal of Computational Science and Engineering.
Details for submission of papers are available at http://www.pdp2007.it/sub.html

IMPORTANT DATES

- Paper Submission June 30, 2006 (extended deadline)
- Acceptance notification September 29, 2006
- Camera-ready version October 27, 2006

Authors of accepted papers are expected to register and present the paper at the Conference.

GENERAL INFORMATION

PDP 2007 will take place in the conference center (http://www.centrocongressi.unina.it) of University of Naples “Federico II”, located on Naples promenade, close to hotels and historic town center. The venue is also close to the tourist harbor, with connections to islands, Sorrento and Amalfi coasts.
